Dimora delle Balze

The Flower Festival

The Infiorata di Noto is an annual event held in the Baroque city of Noto, located in south-eastern Sicily.

The history of the Infiorata di Noto dates back to 1980, when a group of local artists had the idea of paying homage to Corpus Christi by creating floral carpets along the streets of the city centre.

Since then, this tradition has been consolidated year after year, attracting an increasing number of visitors and artists. The designs of the floral carpets vary from edition to edition, but are always inspired by religious, cultural or artistic themes, and represent a perfect marriage between the creativity of artists and the beauty of nature.

The Infiorata di Noto takes place every year on the third Sunday in May, and is the culmination of the celebrations in honour of Corpus Christi.

During the days of the Infiorata, the streets of the centre of Noto are transformed into a riot of colours and scents, offering visitors an unforgettable spectacle. In addition to the floral carpets, numerous events take place during the event, such as art exhibitions, concerts and tastings of typical local products, making the atmosphere even more enthralling.
